THE IMPACT OF MICROORGANISMS ON ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Abstract
Microorganisms play a crucial role not only in human health but also in the environment. They contribute to soil fertility, organic matter decomposition, water purification, and even the elimination of pollutants. However, some microorganisms can disrupt ecological balance and become hazardous biological factors. This article explores the role of microorganisms in ecological processes, their importance in environmental protection, and their potential applications by humans. It also discusses bioremediation, biotechnology, and microbial solutions to environmental challenges.
